General questions

Gametimer does not turn off screens.
The purpose of Gametimer is to start a conversation with your children and prevent discussions about screen time.
Children can operate the Gametimer themselves, which creates support and they learn to organize and plan within the agreed playing times. Turning off screens is counterproductive to our philosophy and will lead to more discussion and arguments.
Gametimer is not about drawing hard boundaries but about creating awareness about screen time.

Once the time has expired, the Gametimer can no longer be used. The Gametimer emits clear audio signals when the time has been used up and can no longer be set to GREEN. Children know when playtime is over. Then give the child the opportunity to end the game on a good note. (see “5 tips” on our website)

It is better to purchase a Gametimer for each child, multiple Gametimers can be connected in the App.
Age, school hours and other obligations are different for every child. In the weekly clock it is possible to set a different program every day. The Gametimer's have different colors so children can choose their own color. We offer a nice stacking discount for purchasing two or more Gametimer's.

Technical questions

• It could be that you have set the holiday times but holiday mode is not enabled. It could also be the other way around that you have adjusted the regular times but the Gametimer is still in holiday mode.
• Check whether the Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet is turned on.
• Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
• Check whether the Gametimer is charged
• Check if an update is available, go to 'Settings'->'Connected Gametimers'->'Update'.

If the Gametimer keeps beeping, this may have several causes:
• The Gametimer is activated outside active hours. The Gametimer will not work and will keep beeping. You can change the active hours per day.
• The Gametimer is in mandatory pause
• The set time has elapsed for the day.

• First check whether the Bluetooth of your smartphone or tablet is turned on.
• Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
• If you manage the Gametimer with multiple phones, only 1 phone can be connected to Bluetooth at a time. When you turn off the Bluetooth of the connected phone, the other phone can now connect in the app.
• Check whether the Gametimer is charged.
• Close the app and reopen it.

If you need to install multiple Gametimer's, you will see 2 serial numbers during installation. Tap on one of the serial numbers, then you will see that 2 green lights will light up for 1 Gametimer. Select your color and complete installation. When you tap 'New Gametimer', the newly installed Gametimer will no longer be listed and you can install the other Gametimer(s).

• The Gametimer update may take a few minutes. Don't touch the screen, don't turn off Bluetooth or WiFi, and stay near the game timer.
• If the update is interrupted, you will receive a failure message. 2 red and 2 green lights remain on. Follow the steps below: 'Game timer shows 2 red lights and 2 green lights'

1. First check whether the Bluetooth of your smartphone or tablet is turned on.
2. Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
3. An update needs to be done.
Go to the Gametimer app'Settings'->'Connected Gametimer's'->'Update'.

The charging time of the Gametimer depends on the adapter you use. Normally this takes between 10 and 15 hours. The Gametimer can then be used for 30 days without charging.

In the Gametimer app under 'Timers' you will see an airplane on the right. Tap the airplane to turn off the game timer (in airplane mode). After switching on 'Airplane mode' you will see 'Travel mode' in the display, with the installed firmware version below. When 'Airplane mode' is on, the plane turns orange in the app.

In the Gametimer app under 'Timers' you will see a palm tree on the left. Tap the palm tree to set the game timer to 'Vacation Mode'. After switching on 'Holiday mode', the Gametimer emits a signal. When 'Holiday mode' is on, the palm tree turns orange in the app.

• If you cannot change times, turn 'Holiday mode' on/off or turn the sound up or down in the app, 'Airplane mode' is probably on. In the Gametimer app under 'Timers' you will see an airplane on the right. Click on the plane to turn 'Airplane Mode' on or off.
• Check whether the Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet is turned on.
• Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
• Check whether the Gametimer is charged
• Check if an update is available, go to 'Settings'->'Connected Gametimers'->'Update'.

When you want to create a new account. Go to 'Account'->'Log out', then you can register a new account.

It is not possible to link multiple accounts to one Gametimer. If your existing account is still linked to the Gametimer, first delete this Gametimer on the linked account. Go to 'Settings'->'Connected Gametimers'->'Delete'. You can then create a new account and reconnect the Gametimer.
